D2 tool steel is renowned for its extreme durability and ability to handle harsh conditions. Its high carbon content and other special admixtures guarantee a hardness of 61-62 HRC, which is among the top in this field. As a result, the knife will retain its sharpness for a very long time, even under intensive use. Equally important is the high chromium content, which gives D2 steel a solid resistance to corrosion and rust. (Composition: 84.2% iron, 1.5% carbon, 12% chromium, 0.35% manganese, 0.8% molybdenum, 0.9% vanadium and 0.25% silicone)
