The brand name Less Than Lethal (LTL), owned by Chiappa, aptly indicates the purpose of this pistol: reliable non-lethal self-defense. The gun fires .50 caliber rubber or pepper pellets that are loaded into an ingeniously concealed magazine located under the barrel.

The Alpha 1.50 boasts durable metal internal components that protect the lightweight polymer body. The fixed bolt is fitted with simple but reliable fixed sights. For expansion with tactical accessories such as a laser or flashlight, a short Picatinny rail is integrated under the barrel . Safety is ensured by a single safety, cleverly placed directly in the trigger tab.

The Chiappa LTL Alfa 1.50 14J pistol is powered by a 12g CO2 cartridge that is inserted into the grip. To quickly activate it, simply strike the valve at the bottom of the grip with the palm of your hand to pierce the bomb and be ready to fire immediately.

Thanks to the oversized valve, the CO2 cartridge can be easily tightened and loosened by hand without the need for tools while not disturbing the gun's sleek design. Once activated, an unobtrusive indicator pops up above the grip to indicate that the gun is under pressure. To easily depressurize the pistol, simply push this indicator back in.

Due to being powered by CO2 bombs, the rubber gasket can become brittle and crack over time due to the freezing effects of carbon dioxide. This phenomenon can be effectively prevented by regular application of silicone oil:

• in a spray bottle, by spraying the internal mechanisms of the gun
• by applying a few drops of oil to the neck of the cylinder
• using a special oil cartridge (the simplest method)

At the same time , we recommend not to leave the activated CO2 cartridge in the weapon longer than absolutely necessary. If you plan not to shoot for a longer period of time, release the pressure by loosening the valve.
