Sig Sauer P226 FDE air pistol
Version FDE - Flat Dark Earth - color with green-yellow-brown pigment. Truly Army.
The Sig Sauer brand is a big name in the world of firearms. Now they are getting into airguns as well, and since they want high quality from these guns as well, they have them made in Japan. It is already clear at first glance that quality materials have been used in the production here. Both the metal breech and the metal frame of the gun. Yes, it is a full metal construction.
The steel rifled barrel of the Sig Sauer P226 model provides rotation and accuracy for lead diabolo ammunition. At the same time, the more destructive 4.5mm steel BB buckshot can be used in this weapon.
The ammunition magazine can be purchased separately as an option. The capacity of the magazine is 2x 8 shots, as it contains two ammunition wreaths. One from the top, the other from the bottom. So you load 16 rounds of ammunition, take it out after 8 rounds and just flip it over for another 8 shots.
The 12g CO2 bomb that keeps the gun running is inserted directly into the gun under the flip-up rear grip cover.
The principle of the CO2 system is very simple. The bomb is inserted into the gun and mechanically sealed to the mandrel. When the trigger is pulled, the hammer hits the valve striker and the valve opens. CO2 gas starts to flow from the cartridge.
During firing, the experience is enhanced by the BlowBack system, which ensures the bolt moves after the gun is fired, as it does in firearms. The recoil of the gun is also associated with the movement of the slide, which is detrimental to accuracy, but the realism definitely makes up for it.
The trigger mechanism of the Sig Sauer P226 pistol has a Double Action design, the trigger provides the ammunition shift, cocking the gun and then of course the actual firing. Thanks to the BlowBack system, the trigger also behaves like a Single Action, the slide will cock the gun with you just squeezing it to fire.
