Ballistic Chronograph: Xero® C2 Chronograph
THIS PRODUCT CAN ONLY BE SHIPPED WITHIN THE CZECH REPUBLIC!
In ballistics, there is no room for error. The Xero® C2 Chronograph is a pocket-sized chronograph that measures the velocity of virtually any projectile—from airsoft pellets to rounds fired from a large-caliber rifle. It builds on the successful Xero C1 Pro model and adds a faster processor, support for rapid fire, and connectivity with a mobile app or Garmin watches.
The key difference from traditional chronographs with optical gates is that you don’t place the Xero® C2 in the bullet’s path. You set it on a table next to you, roughly 13 to 38 cm behind the muzzle and to the side of it, turn it on, and fire. No frames, no shields, no adjusting for sunlight—and, most importantly, no risk of shooting through the device. Setup takes just a few seconds, which you’ll especially appreciate at a shooting range where time at the station is limited.
The measurement range is 100 to 5,000 fps, covering the entire spectrum: rifles and pistols up to 5,000 fps, air rifles up to 2,000 fps, airsoft up to 1,000 fps, and bows and crossbows up to 600 fps. For airgun enthusiasts, the lower limit is particularly important—it allows you to reliably measure even weaker spring-powered airguns or unregulated PCP models, which older chronographs often struggle to detect.
The chronograph doesn’t just measure velocity. Right on the display, you can see muzzle energy, power factor, extreme spread (ES), standard deviation (SD), and the average of the series —in other words, exactly the numbers you use to tune the regulator, set the main spring preload, or reload ammunition. You can exclude a single stray shot from the statistics or delete it outright without having to restart the series.
Support for rapid fire is the main new feature of the C2 model. The faster processor can handle up to 10 shots per second depending on the projectile’s velocity—roughly three shots per second for slower pistol rounds. With the previous generation, you had to wait between shots; now you can empty an entire magazine at a steady pace and still have data from every shot.
The second new feature is the session restore function. If you’re switching between two guns, two types of ammunition, or letting the barrel cool down at the shooting range, you can switch between ongoing sessions without the data getting mixed up. The device can store up to 200 sessions before it needs to be synced with your phone.
Connecting to a Garmin watch lets you operate the chronograph without leaving your shooting position. On compatible watches (the tactix 8, fenix 8, and Instinct 3 series), you can control the session, monitor live data, and send the measured muzzle velocity directly to the built-in Applied Ballistics calculator. The ShotView mobile app is also available, allowing you to review your shooting series, add notes to specific shots (cold barrel, suppressor used, weather), and back up your data to the cloud.
The Xero® C2 is built to last. The reinforced body withstands recoil when mounted directly on the firearm (the mount is an optional accessory), its IPX7 rating handles rain, and its operating temperature range of –10 to 55 °C covers even winter shooting. The 55-mm transflective monochrome display remains readable in direct sunlight—precisely where standard displays fail. The internal battery lasts for up to 2,000 rounds or 6 hours of operation and charges via USB-C.
