Swedish company FX Airguns comes with the anticipated fourth generation of its legendary PCP windgun - the Impact M4. Despite a major redesign of most internal and external parts, it still retains the characteristic style of the Impact series.

An innovation of the FX Impact M4 Sniper air rifle is the integrated hidden 11mm herringbone that allows the 22mm Picatinny rail to be moved smoothly forward and backward. This brings much more flexibility when seating the rifle scope. The mounting rail also has a built-in 30 MOA slope .

Another significant innovation has been made to the trigger system itself. The Impact M4 features a "Quick Set Trigger" mechanismthat is designed for maximum versatility. Whether you need a harder trigger pull for hunting, or an extremely soft trigger for precision sport shooting, you can reconfigure everything with the turn of a screw in seconds.

The externally adjustable AMP MkII pressure regulator has also been upgraded. This now uses a brass plunger, which not only makes it more durable and responsive, but most importantly provides an even more stable stroke rate. In addition, it can also handle maximum regulated pressures of up to 170 bar without any problems.

The high-capacity magazine of the FX Impact M4 Sniper is newly made of highly durable polyoxymethylene (POM). Je redesigned internal mechanism now ensures flawless and absolutely smooth rotation even when using the heaviest ammunition available.

The overall ergonomics of the air rifle are then taken to the next level by the new AR-15 style grip - it is slightly more robust and significantly roughened at the grip points.

Elements that have remained the same:

• Barrel: jacketed, with externally molded rifling
• Cartridge: carbon fiber, refillable up to 250 bar via standard Foster 1/8" BSP quick release
• Pressure measurement: two premium WIKA pressure gauges for instant checking of cartridge and regulator pressure
• Controls: the charging lever can be flipped to the other side (just remove 2 screws), the safety is on the right side
• Modularity: 3 Picatinny mounting rails ready for your favourite accessories
• Massive 75cc power plenum
