GBBR
GBBR (Gas Blowback Rifle) is a gas-powered airsoft rifle with recoil simulation. Gas propels both the BB and the bolt carrier, which cycles rearward with each shot just like a real firearm.
How does a GBBR work?
A GBBR uses compressed gas stored in the magazine. When you pull the trigger, gas is released, fires the BB, and pushes the bolt carrier backward. The bolt returns forward and chambers the next round. When the magazine is empty, the bolt locks back (bolt lock).
Magazines hold 20–50 BBs and enough gas for the same number of shots. This matches the real capacity of military magazines.

Brands and models
Tokyo Marui MWS – the most reliable platform thanks to the ZET system. Lower FPS but high durability (10,000+ cycles).
GHK – quality AK and M4 replicas with steel internals. Popular for their realism.
WE Tech – affordable, wide selection of replacement parts. Requires more maintenance.
Maintenance
A GBBR requires regular maintenance:
After every game: Clean the barrel and check the O-rings.
Every 1,000 shots: Lubricate moving parts with silicone oil. Check magazine seals.
Store Green Gas magazines with a small amount of gas. Store CO2 magazines without a cartridge.
