AEA 480 BAR COMPRESSOR

A high-pressure compressor for filling PCP airguns from AEA with a maximum filling pressure of 480 bar (7,000 psi). Most airguns operate at around 200 bar, so filling a cartridge takes only a moment—the compressor isn’t even running anywhere near its limits.

This model features a clear digital display that lets you continuously monitor the current pressure, compressor temperature, and the duration of the filling process. Operation is handled by four buttons located below the display —SET, ON/OFF, plus, and minus. That’s all you need to operate it.

To switch between pressure units (bar / PSI), hold down the SET button for 3 seconds and then press the plus button once. To switch between temperature units (°C / °F), hold down SET for 3 seconds, then press SET once more and use the plus button to change the value. To unlock the fill pressure setting, hold down the plus and minus buttons simultaneously for 3 seconds—then use the plus button to increase the pressure and the minus button to decrease it. All that’s left is to connect the charging hose, attached to the top of the compressor, to the cartridge and press ON/OFF.

It also features an automatic shut-off when the set pressure is reached, as well as a built-in temperature sensor that protects the compressor from overheating. When the temperature reaches 35 °C, the cooling fan automatically turns on and runs until the temperature drops below 30.2 °C. If the temperature rises to 71 °C, the compressor shuts off automatically and allows itself to cool down.

You can use either a 230V AC power source or a 12V DC car battery to power the unit. The package includes the appropriate cables for both power sources—a power cord and jumper cables (alligator clips). The power cord can be used to connect the compressor to a wall outlet or to a separate battery. This means you’re not limited to using electricity and can refill the cartridges even when you’re away from home.

On the front of the compressor, you’ll find a large switch and, above it, a label that clearly indicates which position corresponds to which power source. Position 1 is used for standard mains power via the power cord, as well as for power from a car battery via alligator clips. Position 2 is intended for a separate battery connected to the compressor.

A drain valve is located on the side of the compressor, which allows you to drain all moisture filtered from the compressed air. The model is completely oil-free, so there is no need to check or change the oil, and maintenance is minimal.

IMPORTANT! The AEA compressor is intended solely for filling PCP air cartridges. It cannot be used to fill pressure cylinders!

IMPORTANT! The compressor’s maximum filling pressure is significantly higher than what most airguns can withstand. Therefore, before each filling, check your airgun’s maximum filling pressure and set the correct value on the display.

IMPORTANT! When using the compressor, we strongly recommend operating it with an external moisture filter, which will trap condensed moisture before it enters the cartridge. If you use a filter, monitor its maximum allowable pressure—standard moisture-removal filters are rated for lower pressure than the compressor itself and must not be overfilled beyond this limit.
