Authentieke replica van het bekende Oostenrijkse merk Glock. Umarex heeft een licentie verkregen voor de productie van nauwkeurige replica's.
Net als bij het origineel is het onderframe van het pistool gemaakt van polymeer en de grendel van metaal, evenals de loop van dit airsoft pistool.
Het CO2-patroon wordt in het Glock 22 pistool achter in de greep geplaatst. Het is daardoor ideaal verborgen en niet zichtbaar dat het om een airsoft pistool gaat.
Het magazijn voor plastic BB-munitie — kogeltjes met 6 mm kaliber — wordt in een apart magazijn geplaatst met een capaciteit van 14 stuks. Het door de fabrikant aanbevolen gewicht van het schietmateriaal is 0,20–0,30 g. Het metalen magazijn voor 6 mm plastic BB's kan ook afzonderlijk worden aangeschaft als reservemagazijn.
Het treksysteem van het Glock 22 Gen 4 model Glock 22 heeft een Double Action Only-uitvoering — de interne haan hoeft niet vooraf te worden gespannen. Het pistool is halfautomatisch; door de trekker in te drukken wordt een schot afgevuurd.
De beveiliging tegen ongewenst vuren is, net als bij het origineel, aangebracht op de trekker in de vorm van een zogenoemde trekkerpal. De trekker moet in het midden worden ingedrukt om de beveiliging te deactiveren. Daarnaast is er ook een totaalvergrendeling die elegant onder de loop is verborgen en niet zichtbaar is.
Principe van het CO2-systeem: het CO2-patroon wordt in het wapen geplaatst en mechanisch op de pin geprikt. Bij het intrekken van de trekker slaat de haan op de klepsteel en opent de klep. CO2-gas stroomt uit het patroon en drijft het projectiel uit de loop.
