De patroon wordt op de doorn in het wapen geschroefd, die vervolgens de hals doorboort.
De patroon is voor eenmalig gebruik en kan niet worden bijgevuld.
Dit is niet de standaard 12g CO2-patroon voor luchtpistolen en luchtrevolver. Het betreft een kleiner model van 8g voor de paintball marker TP50 Compact.

De patroon moet volledig worden leeggeschoten en het wapen mag niet onnodig onder druk worden gelaten.
Als je weet dat je het wapen gedurende langere tijd niet zult gebruiken, moet je de patroon losschroeven. Anders verkort je de levensduur van de afdichtingsringen. Schroef de patroon altijd alleen leeg los; als hij nog vol is, zal het gas snel ontsnappen en kan dit bevriezing of andere schade aan het wapen veroorzaken.
