Het Umarex T4E TB 68 Gen2 hagelgeweer is een effectief trainings- en markeertoestel. Nieuw is de M22x1,5-schroefdraad op de loopmond, bestemd voor de montage van X-Tracer-apparatuur.
Het Gen2-model wordt aangedreven door een 12g CO2-patroon die in de handgreep wordt geplaatst en dankzij het innovatieve Quick-Piercing 2.0-systeem met één handbeweging op de onderkant van de handgreep kan worden geactiveerd. Dit systeem zorgt voor snelle drukopbouw alleen wanneer nodig, waardoor de levensduur van de afdichting en het ventiel aanzienlijk wordt verlengd. Bovendien maakt de verbeterde borgkap gereedschapsloze bediening mogelijk — alleen met de vingers.
De duurzame constructie is gemaakt van een legering en vervolgens bekleed met polymeer. Net als bij de andere wapens uit de T4E-serie heeft Umarex gekozen voor een technische oplossing gericht op betrouwbaarheid, laag gewicht en direct inzetbaarheid zonder onnodige slijtage van het mechanisme.
De munitie wordt direct onder de loop geplaatst. Er is een breed assortiment kaliber .68 munitie beschikbaar — van rubberkogels tot pepervullingen en staalkerngesloten munitie.
Het trekkersmechanisme werkt in Double Action Only (DAO)-modus, wat betekent dat het optrekken van de trekker voldoende is om te schieten zonder vooraf te spannen. Een geïntegreerde lipveiligheid in de trekker minimaliseert het risico op onbedoeld afgaan.
Het richten wordt vergemakkelijkt door vaste korrels aangevuld met een 22 mm bovenste montagerail waarmee een collimator of optiek naar wens kan worden gemonteerd.
