Dit is een replica van het Heckler & Koch 416 A5 luchtdrukwapen, dat stalen BB-kogels schiet met een diameter van 4,5 mm en wordt aangedreven door twee CO2-patronen van 12g die in het magazijn van het wapen zijn geplaatst.
De constructie van de HK 416 is gemaakt van ZnAl-legering, omgeven door een polymeerbehuizing. Deze constructie zorgt voor lichtheid, duurzaamheid en eenvoudiger gebruik.
Het werkingsprincipe van het CO2-systeem is als volgt: Een kleine CO2-patroon wordt in het wapen geplaatst en via een mechanische sluiting op de dorn geperst. Bij het overtrekken van de trekker slaat de haan op de klepsteel en opent de klep. Hierdoor stroomt CO2-gas uit de patroon, dat het projectiel uit de loop stuwt.
Dankzij de aanwezigheid van een metalen loop van 300 mm (zonder boring) is de HK 416 in staat stalen BB-kogels van 4,5 mm te gebruiken. Een ander voordeel is de grote capaciteit van het magazijn. Het magazijn biedt ruimte voor maar liefst 370 stalen BB-kogels. Deze worden vervolgens in batches van 36 stuks klaargemaakt voor gebruik.
Het wapen beschikt ook over een schietmodusschakelaar met drie standen voor enkelvoudig schieten of zogenaamd burst schieten van 6 schoten.
De HK 416 is uitgerust met meerdere RIS rails van 22 mm voor het bevestigen van tactisch accessoires (collimators, richtkijkers, zaklantaarns, enz.) en een tactische kolf met een verstelbare rubberen eindstuk voor het aanpassen van de kolfpositie naar behoefte.
