Duitse precisie, vol vermogen en prachtige afwerking maken de Walther Rotex RM8 Varmint tot de ideale metgezel voor recreatief schieten.
Het belangrijkste onderdeel van elke luchtbuks is de loop. Het model Walther Rotex RM8 is uitgerust met een Duitse Lothar Walther-loop van 500 mm lengte. Deze is afgedekt met een compensatordop waaronder je een standaard buitendraad 1/2" UNF 20 vindt voor eventuele montage van een moderator.
Het stalen luchtreservoir bevindt zich onder de loop met een capaciteit van maximaal 200 cc. De maximale vuldruk bedraagt 230 BAR.
Vullen gebeurt via de vulopening onderin het voorhout bij de manometer. Persing gaat via het Quick Fill-ventiel, dat is meegeleverd in de doos. De Walther RM8 kun je vullen door over te tappen uit een grotere fles of met een speciale PCP-pomp.
De luchtbuks wordt herladen met een hendel. Tijdens het herladen draait het 8-schots magazijn automatisch mee.
Walther plaatste het systeem van de Walther Rotex Varmint-luchtbuks in een kunststof kolf, die duurzamer is dan hout. Het gat in de kolf in combinatie met de pistoolvormige greep zorgt voor een stabiele grip, ook bij bewegen door struikgewas.
We raden aan de luchtbuks uit te rusten met een richtkijker, omdat klassieke ijzeren mikkertjes ontbreken. De aangeschafte richtkijker kun je vervolgens bevestigen op de montagerail van 11 mm.
Onder het voorhout vind je een kortere rail van 22 mm voor de montage van een bipod of ander tactisch accessoire.
De Walther Rotex-luchtbuks beschikt ook over een verstelbare sporttrekker, die op alle belangrijke Walther-modellen wordt gebruikt.
