De combinatie van metalen constructie en polymerframe — zoals bij het vuurwapenorigineel — resulteert in een totaalgewicht van 750 g. Het pistool ligt uitstekend in de hand en is eenvoudig te bedienen.
Het luchtpistool Borner Special Force W119 heeft een magazijn met een capaciteit van 12 stuks 4,5mm stalen BB's. In het magazijn wordt ook het aandrijvingssysteem geplaatst: het CO2-gas wordt geleverd vanuit een 12g CO2-patroon. Dit magazijn is afzonderlijk als accessoire verkrijgbaar. De verpakking bevat 1 exemplaar van dit magazijn.
Het trekkermechanisme van het Borner Special Force W119 pistool werkt in Single Action-modus. Vóór het eerste schot dien je — net als bij het originele vuurwapen — de slede naar achteren te trekken, waardoor de haan samen met het slagmechanisme wordt gespannen en vervolgens naar voren wordt vrijgelaten. Na het overhalen van de trekker wordt het schot gelost. Door de blowback-actie wordt het wapen na het eerste schot automatisch herspannen, waardoor de trekker kort en licht blijft.
De veiligheid tegen accidentele ontlading bevindt zich aan de rechterzijde van het pistoollichaam boven de trekker, in de vorm van een hendel. Deze wordt bediend door hem omhoog of omlaag te schuiven, waardoor de rode en witte markering wordt onthuld of bedekt. Als de rode markering zichtbaar is, staat het pistool in de schietstand.
