Deze nauwkeurige replica van het wereldberoemde Oostenrijkse merk Glock werd gemaakt dankzij de officiële licentie die Umarex heeft verkregen voor de productie van precisiekopieën.
De uitvoering met duurzaam polymerenonderframe en een metalen grendel en loop onderstreept de detailgetrouwheid. Een extra kenmerk van de geavanceerde MOS-editie is de voorbereiding van de grendel voor het monteren van een collimator, waarvoor een adapterset is meegeleverd.
De Glock 19 Gen5 MOS wordt aangedreven door een standaard 12g CO2-patroon dat direct in het magazijn van het pistool wordt geplaatst. De fabrikant heeft gekozen voor een elegante oplossing in de vorm van een onderste magazijndop die de grendel volledig bedekt, zodat het op het eerste gezicht onmogelijk is te zien dat het een luchtpistool betreft.
Het metalen magazijn heeft capaciteit voor 17 stalen BB-projectielen van 4,5 mm kaliber, die gemakkelijk van de voorkant worden ingevoerd.
Het trekkermechanisme van de Glock 19 Gen5 is van het type Single Action: de trekker zorgt alleen voor het daadwerkelijk afvuren, heeft een lagere weerstand en is zeer comfortabel in gebruik. Voor het eerste schot moet de grendel handmatig worden gespannen om het hamermechanisme te activeren. Elk volgend spannen wordt verzorgd door het BlowBack-systeem, dat de grendel na het schot automatisch terugtrekt.
Als veiligheidsmaatregel is het pistool uitgerust met een typische trekkerpal die zich direct op de trekker bevindt, net als bij de echte Glock-modellen. Om de veiligheid te deactiveren en succesvol te vuren, moet de trekker precies in het midden van de pal worden ingedrukt.
De mogelijkheid voor realistische oefeningen maakt dit pistool een uitstekende keuze voor doelgericht schieten en trainingsvoorbereiding.
