Réplica auténtica de la que es, posiblemente, la marca austriaca más famosa: Glock. Umarex obtuvo la licencia para fabricar réplicas de precisión.
Al igual que el modelo real, el armazón inferior del arma es de polímero y la corredera es metálica, así como el cañón de esta pistola airsoft.
El cartucho de CO2 se inserta en la pistola Glock 22 por la parte trasera de la empuñadura. Así queda perfectamente oculto y resulta difícil distinguir que se trata solo de una pistola airsoft.
Las bolas de plástico BB de calibre 6 mm se insertan en un cargador independiente, con una capacidad de 14 unidades. El peso de munición recomendado por el fabricante es de 0,20 a 0,30 g. El cargador metálico para BB de plástico de 6 mm también se puede comprar por separado como recambio.
El mecanismo de disparo del modelo Glock 22 Gen 4 tiene un diseño de tipo Double Action Only: no es necesario ni posible amartillar el martillo interno de antemano. La pistola es semiautomática y el disparo se produce al apretar el gatillo.
La protección contra disparos accidentales se resuelve, igual que en el modelo real, mediante el llamado seguro de lengüeta en el gatillo. Es necesario presionar el centro del gatillo para desactivar el seguro. Además, cuenta con un seguro general discretamente oculto bajo el cañón, de forma que no se vea.
Principio del sistema CO2: el cartucho se coloca en el arma y, al cerrarse mecánicamente, se inserta en el punzón. Al presionar el gatillo, el martillo golpea el percutor de la válvula y esta se abre. Por ahí empieza a fluir el CO2 gaseoso del cartucho, que expulsa el proyectil del cañón.
