Umarex TXP Air Pistol
A compact CO2 pistol for everyday plinking: The Umarex TXP fires 4.5 mm steel BBs in semi-automatic mode, features a metal barrel, a compensator thread, and an accessory rail. A gun you can shoot with in your backyard or garage without having to deal with any paperwork.
The design is based on an internal metal alloy frame, which also houses the metal barrel. The entire system is encased in a polymer housing, which gives the pistol its appearance while keeping the weight at a comfortable 518 g. The result is a gun that doesn’t feel like a toy in your hand, yet won’t tire you out even after an hour of shooting.
The barrel is unusually long for such a compact pistol— 100 mm. Hidden beneath the screw-on cap at the muzzle is an M14x1 external thread, onto which you can mount a sound suppressor. Other accessories, such as a flashlight or laser sight, can be attached to the 22-mm rail under the barrel.
It is powered by a standard 12 gCO₂ cartridge, which is inserted into the grip beneath its backstrap and secured with a mechanical lock. The pressure screw is located on the underside of the grip. The principle is simple: when the trigger is pulled, the hammer strikes the valve striker, the valve opens, and the flowing gas propels the projectile out of the barrel.
Ammo is held in a separate metal magazine for 15 steel BBs located in the front part of the grip. It’s worth getting a spare magazine for the pistol—reloading then takes a matter of seconds instead of a minute, making shooting much more enjoyable. You can purchase the magazine separately from us.
The trigger mechanism operates in Double Action Only mode. The internal hammer does not need to be—nor can it be—cocked. You aim, pull the trigger, and the shot is fired. That’s all there is to it.
A trigger safety built directly into the trigger protects you from accidental discharge. The safety is disengaged only when you pull the trigger exactly to the center—so accidental contact with clothing or the edge of a holster will not cause a discharge.
The pistol falls under Category NO according to Act No. 90/2024 Coll., effective as of January 1, 2026, which replaced the former Category D designation. Any legally competent person over the age of 18 may purchase it without a firearms license and without the obligation to register it. You may fire it not only at a shooting range but also in a designated safe area—such as on your own property.
For deliveries outside the Czech Republic, we recommend verifying the conditions for purchase and possession in the respective country.

Since its founding in 1972, Umarex has become synonymous with quality and innovation in the field of air and signal weapons. From the beginning, the brand has built a reputation for producing the highest quality gas and signal weapons on the market, giving it an entry into the world of firearms like no other.
This legacy of innovation continued when the company's founders, Wulf-Heinz Pflaumer and Franz Wonisch, had the vision to create perfect replicas of famous guns. The first such model, the RECK PK 800, faithfully replicated the legendary Walther PPK that shone in 18 Bond films. Today, Umarex has exclusive licensing rights to replicate pistols and revolvers from world-renowned brands including Walther, Colt, Browning, Reck, Smith & Wesson and BERETTA.
Umarex offers several types of airguns in its range. For lovers of the classics, there are lamare guns, dominated by models such as the Hammerli 750 combo. Then there are spring-loaded airguns with a bottom-loading action, where the Hammerli 900 Combo model reigns supreme. For those who prefer more modern technology, there are CO2 guns with the popular 850 M2 model and last but not least PCP guns.
A new addition to the Umarex portfolio is the new T4E airgun type - rubber projectile guns for training and self-defence.
And that's not all! Umarex is expanding its range beyond the weapons themselves. It offers optics in the form of rifle scopes and collimators, tactical gloves, handcuffs, cartridges, refills and many other accessories for weapons. Whatever your airgun needs, Umarex is the right choice, combining tradition with modern technology.
