Version Full Power atteignant une vélocité jusqu'à 345 m/s avec une énergie jusqu'à 32 J.
Principe des carabines à canon basculant : le basculement du canon comprime le ressort dans le piston. Le piston est ensuite capturé par le mécanisme de détente. Après avoir pressé la détente, le piston est propulsé vers l'avant. Cela crée une pression qui pousse ensuite la munition hors du canon.
La Ruger Air Scout Magnum a reçu un canon rayé de calibre 4,5 mm d'une longueur de 495 mm, qui répond largement aux exigences d'un tir précis sur cible à longue distance. Le tir est également favorisé par le canon terminé par un modérateur. Grâce à sa puissance élevée, elle convient au tir longue distance et au tir field target.
Les organes de visée Tru-Glo standard très lisibles avec éléments à fibre optique vous aideront à la visée. Le guidon à la bouche est fixe, et la hausse à l'extrémité opposée est entièrement réglable en site et en azimut. Si les organes de visée standard ne suffisent pas, vous pouvez ajouter une lunette dans les rails de 11 mm situés sur le cylindre.
Le mécanisme de détente du modèle Ruger Air Scout Magnum est suffisamment sensible et est également protégé par une sécurité automatique contre tout tir accidentel. Elle est située à l'arrière du cylindre.
L'ensemble du système Ruger Air Scout Magnum est monté dans une crosse polymère très bien conçue ergonomiquement, adaptée aux droitiers comme aux gauchers. La prise est renforcée par les rainures distinctives sur la poignée et le garde-main. L'extrémité de la crosse comporte une plaque caoutchouc solide pour amortir le recul.
