Le pistolet Umarex T4E TP 50 11 J ne sert pas qu’au tir défensif : il est aussi tout indiqué pour s’entraîner à la manipulation des armes et au tir en général. Bien qu’il ne soit pas conçu pour le tir sportif de compétition, il s’en sort parfaitement sur canettes et autres cibles d’exercice.
Sa carcasse en alliage est revêtue d’un polymère. Cette conception fait baisser favorablement le poids de l’arme. Toutes les solutions techniques retenues par Umarex pour la série T4E ont été choisies en fonction de leur durabilité, de leur légèreté et de la rapidité de mise en œuvre, sans solliciter inutilement le mécanisme.
L’Umarex T4E TP 50 utilise une cartouche CO2 de 12 g logée dans la poignée. Vous l’insérez et la maintenez en place avec un capuchon. Lorsqu’il faut mettre l’arme sous pression, il suffit de frapper le bas de la crosse : l’arme est immédiatement opérationnelle. On évite ainsi toute usure inutile des joints et de la valve.
Principe de fonctionnement du système CO2 : une petite cartouche est insérée dans l’arme et percée par un capuchon mécanique. Quand on presse la détente, le percuteur frappe la tige de la valve, qui s’ouvre. Un flux de gaz CO2 s’échappe alors et propulse le projectile hors du canon.
Les munitions Rubber Ball cal. .50 s’insèrent sous le canon du pistolet T4E TP 50. Le chargeur peut accueillir jusqu’à 6 billes.
Le mécanisme de détente fonctionne en mode Double Action Only / DAO : une simple pression suffit pour faire feu.
Ce pistolet est doté d’une sécurité contre les départs intempestifs, dite sécurité à languette, comme sur les Glock : il faut presser la détente bien au centre, languette comprise, pour déverrouiller l’arme et permettre le tir.

Réglementation France : avec une énergie de 11 J (supérieure à 7,5 J), ce modèle relève de la catégorie B et nécessite une autorisation préfectorale.
