Een red dot vizier is een tactisch richtsysteem dat het vizier en het korrel op het wapen vervangt. Wanneer het red dot vizier wordt ingeschakeld, verschijnt er een lichtpunt op het voorste glas. Je richt dit punt op het doel en schiet. Het red dot vizier is geen laser; het lichtpunt is alleen zichtbaar in het vizier zelf, niet op het doel.
De gesloten constructie van het NP4 red dot vizier geeft het een grotere duurzaamheid. Het vizier kan worden gemonteerd op een 22 mm rail. Het is uitstekend te gebruiken op zowel luchtbuksen als airsoft wapens.
De intensiteit van het richtpunt is in meerdere standen in te stellen. Het instellen van het richtpunt op het doel is vanzelfsprekend. Op het vizier bevinden zich twee stelwielen voor het afstellen van de positie van het richtpunt. Het bovenste regelt de hoogte en het zijdelingse de zijwaartse beweging.
Het Umarex NP4 red dot vizier wordt gevoed door twee AG9-batterijen. Deze worden in het behuizing tussen het vizierlichaam en de montagerail geplaatst.
De totale lengte van het Umarex Nano Point 4 inclusief montagerail bedraagt 155 mm en het gewicht 365 g.
